Hello,
I hope you are all well and your 2018 is
going good. You might have noticed that this post is actually a day late, but
this is because I have been busy getting ready for a revamp of my Etsy shop, which
is the topic of today’s blog. Now you can click this link to go to my Etsy shop (Karmann Jean) and see what is on there, but I thought I would also do a blog
post on it because then you can find out more about what I am selling, as Etsy
only allows 10 pictures.
As Christmas is now over, I have chosen to
remove the Christmas stockings, if you liked them, don’t worry they will be
coming back with possible new additions. This then meant my Etsy shop would be
empty but over the last few weeks/months I have been secretly working on a
secret product, which has been so hard to not share on Instagram. I have been
practising making bobble hats, which was my first time making them, so expect a
blog post about that. You might be thinking its January, is that not too late
to be selling hats and yes it might be but as I only started my shop late last
year I wasn't too sure what I was doing and I didn't want to overwhelm my work
load by making lots of different items. So yes I might be late to the winter
wear game but I am from England and our weather isn't great all year
round.
I have two new listings on Etsy and they are
very similar so I thought I would explain them together (if you don’t want to
read and just look at the pictures, you can see them below). As you know I am
knitter, so they are handmade knitted hats, which I knit on my knitting machine then they are then are finished with hand sewn seams and a matching large pompom at
the top (which is also made by me). All the hats have a 2x2 rib design but come
in a huge variety of colours which can be seen below. However if there is a
colour/shade that you would like but I don’t have, feel free to message me and I
can send you a picture of all the colours I have available from my supplier. I
am hoping to add more patterns and totally new products so keep your eyes open
on my blog and Etsy. So the adults hats which I have labelled as ladies (which
can also easily be worn by men too) is one of my listings and the second
listing is matching mother and daughter hats. They have the same design as the
other listing and come in the same colours the only difference is that you are
buying two hats instead of one and the child’s pompom is smaller. Unfortunately
at the moment I am only selling 6-12 month old hats (the adults is one size
only) but I do intend to add additional sizes. I love the matching mum and me
hats I think they look so cute, especially modelled by my beautiful cousins
which you can see below. All the hats are made out of 100% acrylic and from
start to finish it is made with love by me. The adult’s hats are £8 and the
matching mother and daughter hats (sold together) are £12 plus delivery
charges.
I have a huge selection of colours because I couldn’t
just pick a few I wanted to buy all the colours (if you are a knitter or crafts
person you know the struggle of only buying a few yarns). Due to this huge
selection of colours all the hats are made to order, therefore please allow 1-2
weeks for them to be made and arrive although I always aim to get them done as
soon as possible. The amount of colours available is the main reason for this
blog post, Etsy only allows a certain number of pictures, so I am limited to
the ones that I can show whereas on here I can show you them all, which I am
hoping will clear up what hat is what colour as I am worried it’s not clear on Etsy.

I’m going to keep all the pictures together
so I will say my goodbyes here, I hope you all like my new products. If you haven’t
already been there here is the link to my Etsy shop Karmann Jean again. If you
have any questions please feel free to message me on any of my social Medias
which can be found on the contacts page. I’d love to hear what you think and which
one is your favourite colour. Id also like to say a huge thank you to my beautiful
models, showing off their matching mother and daughter hats. I am camera shy so
all the other hats are modelled by my mannequin model head who I have named Molly.
Thank you
so much for reading.
Love Karmann
