It feels like ages since my last blog post, I know it’s
only been two weeks but it feels a lot longer, I’m still not use to not posting
every week, so I hope everyone is doing well. Now if you haven’t come from my Instagram
you are probably not aware that I have recently added some new listings to my Etsyshop. Over the last few weeks since launching my new hats on Etsy I have had a
few custom orders and from this I then created some polls on my Instagram to
see what you thought about them. From the brilliant feedback I got I then
decided to add these custom orders to my Etsy shop. And as you already know, once
I add something to my Etsy I always like to do a blog post about it. Therefore I
am going to use this post to explain each hat style and hopefully clear up what
I am selling as I know I have shown different things on Facebook and Instagram,
so I’m using this blog post to put all my hat information in one place.
If you are totally new to me and my Etsy shop I am Karmann Jean and I hand make knitted goods, my current collection is a range of knitted
hats. Each and every hat is handmade by me using my knitting machine, once the
fabric has been knitted I then hand sew up the seam to create the hat shape as
well as hand making any pompoms or extras that are applied to finish the hat. Below
you can see a breakdown into each hat style as well as lots of pictures; also I
will do a little summary at the end in case any of the information is
confusing. However if you don’t want to read all my blog you can instead click

but I personally quite like doing a blog post to announce all about my new
listings as sometimes my Facebook and Instagram don’t match up, and also this
blog allows me to post more pictures as Etsy only allows 10 and I use 5 of them
alone to juts show the colours available.
Handmade Knitted Ribbed Pompom Bobble Hats
About: This is my original hat which has a classic knitted ribbed
pattern, which features a big pompom on top. It is suitable for both men and
women (although a lot of my male customers ask for a smaller pompom). This hat
comes in a variety of colours to suit each and every winter outfit you have and
it’s supper warm and surprisingly keeps your head dry. I have tested them in
both rain and snow, the outside of the hat feels wet to touch but my hair was
dry, I also found that it dried out very quickly when put on the radiator.
Design: 2x2 rib knitted hat, which has a folded edge (which you can fold
at a length to suit you). This hat is finished with a handmade knitted pompom in
the same colour.

Sizes: This hat comes in one size only to fit adults.

Mother and Daughter Matching Pompom Bobble Hats:
About: If you have a mini me or know someone who does why not have these
super cute matching hats. This hat is a perfect way to match with your mini me
without having to wear the whole same outfit, plus the child's hat is super
cute and small. The title may say Mother and Daughter but that doesn’t mean they
aren’t suitable for everyone, anyone can wear my hats whether its Dad and Son
or Nan and Granddaughter, you can match with whoever you want to.
Design: This hat has the same style as my other adult’s pompom bobble hat
but comes with a smaller version for your mini me. Both have a 2x2 ribbed
knitted design finished with a pompom at the top although the child's pompom is
smaller than the adult’s large one.
Colour: This hat is available in a variety of colours which can be seen at the end of this blog or you can find them on this blog post link or on both my Facebook and Instagram.
Sizes: This hat comes in one size only to fit the adult and size 6-12
months for the child. Message me if you would like a different size for the child’s
hat.

Unisex Handmade Knitted Ribbed Hat/Beanie:
About: If you like the style of my hats but aren’t a big fan of pompoms,
why not have this one which doesn’t feature any. This is one of my most special
requested adaptations to my hats, so I thought I would therefore offer them on
my Etsy as they seemed quite popular. This hat was made to give you the option
of having a pompom or not, it is exactly the same style as my pompom hats but
it just doesn’t have the pompom making it more of a beanie.
Design: 2x2 rib knitted hat, which again can be folded over to suit the
length you want it.

Adults Handmade Knitted Double Pompom Bobble Hat:
About: Some people like no pompoms and others love two pompoms so I have
created hats to suit everyone. This hat has a pompom on each side,
creating this super cute Minnie Mouse ear effect. Why have one pompom when you
can have two, perfect for all the pompom lovers out there.
Design: 2x2 ribbed knitted hat which has two pompoms on either side of
the hat close to the top.

Adult’s Handmade Knitted Dangling Pompom Ribbed Hat:
About: This hat was requested to me by someone who wanted a similar
styled hat to what they wore when they were younger; I have been informed (as
id never heard of this before) that this style was popular in the 90's. This hat
is another solution for people who don’t like the giant pompom at the top of
their head; instead this hat has two smaller pompoms which hang down. These
dangling pompoms add a fun element due to them being able to freely move about
and swing in the wind. From the front this hat looks like a normal beanie but when you turn around you reveal the hidden twist.
Design: It has the same 2x2 rib knitted fabric as my other hats but it
contains two knitted tails coming out of the top to fall down the back with two
super cute small pompoms dangling at the bottom.

Adults Handmade Knitted Two Colour Pompom Bobble Hat:
About: If can’t choose which colour hat you would like why not have two
colours on one hat. This is great for if you love bright colours and aren’t too
keen on just having one plain colour for your hat. Also having two colours will
mean that your hat will go with more outfits. You can choose which two colours
you want for your hat, so you have full creative reign on which colours you
think will work best. (If you’re not sure on colour choices feel free to
message me and I can send you pictures of your colour scheme ideas together so
that you pick the correct ones).
Design: This is the same style hat as my original pompom bobble hat (at
the top) but it is available in two colours of your choice. The first colour is
for the cuff/fold and matching pompom and the second colour is for the main
body of the hat/middle section.

Summary:

All of my hats have the same 2x2 ribbed design which is long enough
to create this folded cuffed edge, which you can fold at the length to suit you.

Every hat is knitted, hand finished and packaged by me.

Each hat style is available in the same variety of colours. You
can see the colours below but they are individually shown on my blog (clickhere) or you can find them on my Instagram or Facebook page. I offer 21 colours
but if there isn’t a colour that you like then feel free to message me and I
can send you a picture of some more colours that are available.

Delivery is £2.90 in the UK and £5.15 for everywhere else on top
of the hat price, however if you live in Bridgnorth don’t buy off Etsy, please message
me instead then you can save postage costs as I can delivery to you for free.

If there isn’t a hat that you like but you have a different style
idea or colour please feel free to message me and then hopefully together we
can come up with a suitable idea, as some of these styles such as the double
pompom and dangling pompom hats came about via custom orders. So although these
are the only hats I offer I am willing to work on custom ideas, however please
keep in mind that I am new to this but I am also willing to try and learn new
things.
